The sandstone content varies from 10% to 50%. The thickness of single sandbody is small with poor lateral communication, and there are multiple layers deposited vertically with intercalated dolomite or calcareous beds. Conventional geophysical reservoir description methods are difficult to determine the distribution of such kind of reservoirs. Separation technology based on similar background can reveal more reflecting features of thin layers on seismic profile; can display the lateral variation in detail and can accentuate the information from effective wave.
