The main type of urban viaduct is the continuous beam bridge. The multi-span continuous beam bridge is required to consider the dynamic response of structure under the multi-point excitation in the study of its seismic performance because of its long extension and many spans. Therefore, the elevated continuous bridge becomes the typical study object. The traveling wave effect is one of the most common methods in the multi-point earthquake ground movement analysis method. Therefore, it is generally used in the earthquake analysis. The article compares and analyzes the dynamic response of structure numerically simulated by the longitudinal unanimous earthquake import and traveling wave import according to the study object of geometric proportion 1:10 continuous beam bridge scale model. The result shows that the traveling wave effect will influence the displacement at an end of sliding support. Therefore, it is very important to consider the traveling wave effect for the study of earthquake response of viaduct.
