项目依托式英语国家研究课程的教学对学生影响的探究

摘要
国家"一带一路"建设迫切需要通晓世界各国国情的外语人才。为此,东北某高校在英语专业本科阶段开展了英语国家研究课程体系改革探索。本研究通过半结构化访谈和课堂观察采集数据,采用定性研究范式分析项目依托课程教学对学生的影响。研究发现课程教学对学生知识学习、能力提高、素质提升产生的积极影响得到不同程度的认可,研究还发现课程教学中存在的不足。希望研究结果对改进我国高校英语专业的英语国家研究课程教学有所启发。
With the construction of "the Belt and Road",China is in urgent need of personnel with good foreign language proficiency and a deep understanding of relevant countries. To meet this need, an institution for the education of English majors in Northeast China has made an attempt to develop a curriculum on the SEC(studies of English-speaking countries) for English majors at the undergraduate level. With classroom observation and interview as instruments for data collection, a qualitative research was employed to probe the impacts of the project-based learning of the SEC courses on English majors. The study generated the following findings. Positive impacts of the project-based SEC courses on students' acquisition of knowledge,improvement of competence, and the cultivation of comprehensive qualities were recognized to varying degrees. The findings may shed light on the improvement of the project-based learning of the SEC courses for English majors in Chinese tertiary institutions.
