宽带接入服务器BNAS的设计与实现

摘要
未来的通信网络将是以IP业务为中心的宽带网,宽带网络建设可以利用不同的宽带接入方式:XDSL、LMDS、HomePNA、LAN、HFC。本文讨论了各种宽带接入手段的应用、比较和成本分析。目前限制用户宽带接入的主要障碍是费用,如何通过共享到达小区的宽带线路,降低宽带接入费用和共享线路的不同方式是我们讨论的主题之一。
     同时宽带社区网络还需要统一的接入认证与授权;不同的计费方式;带宽管理、流量控制;防火墙功能;虚拟专网VPN功能等。解决这些问题要求引入宽带接入服务器(BNAS),或者称为综合接入服务器(UAS)。
     本文详细地讨论了BNAS的设计,需要达到的功能,采用的协议。针对BNAS设计了综合管理系统,包括认证、计费、用户管理等模块,本文详细描述了系统包括的若干模块的功能和实现。接下来具体分析了BNAS综合管理系统中RADIUS认证和记账模块的软件设计。
     当然,针对社区宽带网络建设和BNAS,我们还有许多需要解决和完善的问题需要讨论。
The future communication network is a high-speed broadband data network, which takes data especially the IP service as its core. Various broadband accessing methods can be deployed in the broadband network construction that includes Asymmetric Digital Subscribe Line (ADSL), Etheraet(LAN), Local Multipoint Distribution System (LMDS), Home Phone line Network Alliance (HomePNA), HFC, etc. This paper is mainly to discuss the application & comparison of various broadband accessing methods and cost analysis. The expanse is the major factor prevents users from accessing broadband. How to access broadband network by sharing or reduce the expanse of broadband accessing is one of the major topics in this paper.
    Meanwhile, the broadband community network needs the functions of Authentication, Authorization and Accounting multiple protocols (AAA), various charging methods, data flow control, bandwidth management, IP address management, service quality, firewall, Virtual Private Network ( VPN ) and other security mechanisms. All the problems can be settled by accessing the Broadband Network Access Server (BNAS) or the Universal Access Server (UAS) at the edge of backbone network.
    The detailed features, functions and protocols of BNAS are discussed in this paper. Universal management system is designed for BNAS, includes AAA and user management modules. This paper gives detailed description of the realization and functions of several modules in the system, and specific analysis of the software design of the Remote Authentication Dial In User System (RADIUS) module and billing module.
    Of course, many problems about community broadband network construction and BNAS need to be settled and improved in the future.
