We thank Xiaobing Zhou for his interest and remarks on our closed-form equations for calculating a gravity anomaly caused by a 2D mass polygon with density contrast varying as an arbitrary polynomial function of depth and lateral position (Zhang et al., 2001). But his statement and corrections to our equations are not completely felicitous.
