Liraglutide might have anxiolytic and pro-depressant effects. Liraglutide demonstrated neuroprotective effects and improved learning and memory. Liraglutide protected from hippocampal neurodegeneration likely through mTOR pathway. Liraglutide reduced hippocampal neuronal death. Liraglutide treatment might be a relevant option for cognitive decline.
