Samples are alkali and tholeiitic greenschists and tholeiitic amphibolites. Magmatic zircons from mafic samples yielded protolithic age of ~ 256 Ma and ~ 162 Ma. The greenschists were generated in a rifting setting. The amphibolites were formed on an oceanic island. The ocean between the Jiamusi and Songliao blocks closed after ~ 141 Ma.
