Indium is one kind of dissipated metallic elements, and its content is 0.1×10-6 in the earth’s crust. Based on many geological surveys in the field, indoor analytical tests, observing with scanning electron microscope and so on, the authors found out the content and occurrence of indium element in the Bangong Lake—Nujiang River Metallogenic belt and adjacent area. The mineralized age of indium in the Bangong Lake—Nujiang River Metallogenic belt should be the encounter stage after the Bangong Lake—Nujiang River Metallogenic dived southward (the Gangdese plate) and made it close. The Lawu polymetallic deposit, Dangxiong County, is exploiting now. Its average content of indium in ores is 45.44×10-6, and the highest content is 166×10-6. So the evaluation of indium resource needs to be strengthened in order to improve comprehensive utilization of this resource.
