Mode of the Fault Block in Sha Member-4 in the Western Limb of Panhe Structure of Linpan Oilfield

     The fracture systems of Linpan Oilfield are very complex and the fault - block oil reservoirs are more than 90%. The sandbody in the western limb of Linhe Structure is well developed, the sandstone and formation ra- tio can reach 70% , fortunately the blocking characteristics is very good. The early fault sealing theories show that when sandstone meeting with sandstone, the blocking is not likely to happen; just the opposite occurs while sand- stone touching with mudstone; and as the sandstone coated by the mudstone, the plugging phenomenon can not be made clear for the Sha Fault Member 4 in the western limb of Panhe Structure. In order to clarify the mode of the fault blocking, by means of the analyses of the geological data, such as drilling, well logging and so on, the com- mon phenomenon of the carbonate cementation happens in the sandstone near the faults. At the same time, the ana- lyses of the genesis g of the cemented and filled belt and the action of the belt changes on the hydrocarbon plugging are conducted, finally the viewpoint of hydrocarbon plugging by fault cementation and the filling is p study results show that the faults in the researched region are well developed, the physical pmpertie stone near the faults deteriorate rapidly, the self-potential almost has no amplitude, the interval transi ses, but the resistivity increases significantly; there are many oil layers, which cumulative thickness i resented. Thewhile the oil column height is not so high--generally from 20 to 40 m.
