Alteration Mineral Mapping and Synthetic Ore Prospecting Based on Multi-Information in Sandaoling, Eastern Junggar Basin, Xinjiang

     Alteration mineral mapping has been extensively used in ore prospecting. Employing multi-information including geology, geochemical exploration and remote sensing in mineral resources prospecting will largely reduce a lopsided view resulted from a single method. This study takes Sandaoling in Balikun County, Eastern Junggar, Xinjiang as the study area for synthetic ore prospecting. The results obtained from the remote sensing techniques were combined with the geochemical anomalies and geological data. Twenty-five ore exploration targets were located. Through ground inspection of 10 targets, the existences of several altered outcrops were confirmed and 8 new mineralization occurrences are discovered.
