The Reduction Effect of Cronobacter Sakazakii on Crystal Structure of Goethite

摘要
Under anaerobic cultivation,using sodium acetate as the electron donor and Fe(Ⅲ) in goethite as electron acceptor,Cronobacter sakazakii can reduce Fe(Ⅲ) and use the energy for its metabolism.In proliferation and stable growth period the bacteria reduce the goethite rapidly and the Fe(Ⅱ) is accumulated;in the decline period of the bacteria,the generation of Fe(Ⅱ) is slow down;when the activities of bacteria stop,Fe(Ⅱ) is no longer accumulated and ultimately keep stable.Synchrotron radiation XRD of the products of the interaction of bacteria and goethite shows a series of new peaks: 4.8,6.03,6.13,6.84,7.7 and 11.4 ,and new minerals with layered structure may be formed.The main absorption peaks of XANES shift toward the lower energy about 1 eV.The centroid energy of the pre-edge peaks moves toward the lower energy,and the integrated intensity is reduced.Because of the reduction of Cronobacter sakazakii,the oxidizability of Fe is lower and the structure of goethite has been changed.
