Based on the lithostratigraphic, petrologic and geochemical characteristics of Mamianshan Group strata, and the ore-controlling features of the polymetallic ores such as gold, silver, copper, lead and zinc controlled by the Mamianshan Group strata in the major mineralizing centers of Fujian Province, it is considered that the sandwich layers between the basic volcanic rocks and intermediate and acid volcanic rocks in the Mamianshan Group strata compose of a meta-alkalic bimodal volcanic assembly, which is a source bed and ore-bearing layer of the inner basement in the surveyed area.  The ore-forming process of middle and Late Proterozoic Era is mostly controlled by the horizon of the calc-silicate rocks such as green schist and marble.  The Yanshanian tectonomagmatism is an important factor of the ore-forming process.
