Correspondence of Core Nuclear Magnetic Resonance T2 Spectrum and Resistivity Index

The power function relationship between nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) T2 spectrum and resistivity index was established on the basis of fractal property of core and capillary bundle theory. Quantitative descriptions between pore structure and conductivity property were investigated by combination of theory and petrophysical data. The results show that NMR T2 bears favorable power function relationship with resistivity, which decreases with the increase of resistivity index. The NMR T2 fitted exponent bears favorable linear relationship with saturation exponent, which increases with the increase of saturation exponent. The correspondence investigation between NMR T2 and resistivity index gives quantitative analysis for Archie parameters, especially for saturation exponent.
