摘要
Mexico is rich in mineral resources,relatively stable in economic environment,and mining sector is its economic pillar.Geologically,Mexico is composed of old basement relics and continuously accreting old oceanic crust.Active geological process gives birth to extensive,diversified and plentiful mineral resources.Genetically,they include low-temperature hydrothermal,skarn,Mississippi Valley Type(MVT),VMS,SEDEX and IOCG deposits.This paper introduced geology,six major metallogenic times,distribution of mineral resources in Mexico.Moreover,Mexican government provides open and favorable policies for mineral exploration and development in the country.Mining sector will continue to play an important role in Mexican economy in the future.
