In recent years, uninterrupted new discoveries of petroleum exploration have been exposed in Erlian Basin, Hailar Basin and Tumtsag Basin of Mongolia. Through the practice, the understandings of underground objective rules are further deepened.  NE or NNE subsags are pointed out to be the favorable hydrocarbon-generating subsags, the important petroleum exploration orientations are focused on searching for oil in multiple reservoirs and kinds around main source subsags. And furthermore seeking for lithologic oil and gas reservoirs in the subsags is studied. The conducting coalbed gas exploration is researched.
