In order to research the effect of interaction between Kusai Lake and Xidatan segment of east Kunlun fault, the authors use two blocks connected by spring to simulate these two fault segments. Through the dynamical analysis, the authors get the differential equations to depict fault segment motion. Numerically solving the fault motion equations, the authors have the parameters of fault motion and determine the recurrence of strong earthquake. Through the simulation, the authors find that the interaction between Kusai Lake and Xidatan fault segment has no regularity effect on recurrent period of earthquake and sliding displacement when earthquake happen.
