This paper analyzes several new methods of media test, including in-situ permeability method, modified pulse decay test method and desorption flow method. In-situ permeability method can measure the permeability under the condition of pseudo-gas reservoir. The required testing time is less and the demand of medium testing integrity is low. At the same time, the sensibility of testing media heterogeneity is reduced and the estimation accuracy of media pore volume is also decreased. Utilization of desorption flow method is favorable for the modeling of reservoir gas desorption process and gas transportation.
