摘要
Cretaceous Huanglong Formation in eastern Sichuan, one of the major gas-bearing strata, has long been an important target for gas exploration. Based on drilling core, field profiles, thin-section identify, and combined with comprehensive study of petrology, paleobiology, well logging and sedimentary signatures, this study suggests that the Huanglong Formation consists of three types of sedimentary systems, i.e., Sabkha, barrier coast and continental shelf. This study also discussed karstification and concomitant landform characteristic due to the Yunnan movement at the late stage of deposition of the Huanglong Formation. Distribution feature and evolution rule of the exposed karst landform unit, and the relation with reservoir development was also discussed.
