To effectively plan 11 Planning New Urban Areas including Shunyi etc, and to thoroughly realize the aim described in Beijing City Master Plan (2004～2020),  the authors have investigated the regional engineering geology of 11 Planning New Urban Areas. In order to avoid the influences of Quaternary sediments,  constructions and pipelines on the investigation,  the authors established a set of investigation system which is especially suitable for Beijing Planning New Urban Areas. This system including three kinds as Shunyi,  Mentougou and Yanqing styles, has the reference significance on the regional engineering geology investigation for allover the country.
