Formation Mechanism of Ground Fissures in Longdong Loess Tableland, Gansu Province
Frequent ground fissures were a form of loess erosion hazard. They were formed on the loess structural joints. It was a special phenomenon of geological disaster in the loess tableland. Its formation was restricted by collapsible features, table-land slope degree, precipitation intensity and ground sclerosis conditions besides the loess structural joints. Formation mechanism of the disasters was analyzed based on their present status in this paper.
