Study of Remote Sensing Investigation for Water Quality Pollution of the Fuxian and Xingyun Lakes in Yunnan Province Using MODIS Data

摘要
In this paper, the spectral characteristics of Fuxian and Xingyun Lakes water are studied by analyzing the field spectra measurements. The observed of Chlorophyll-a (Chl-a) concentration, Suspended Sediment(SS) concentration and MODIS band combination were compared. The results show that the ratio of band 2 to band 1(r2/r1) with 250 m resolution is suitable to retrieve Chl-a concentration, while the proportion of sum-difference band 4 to band 3(r4-r3)/(r4+r3) with 500 m resolution is related closely to SS concentration.
