Zaozigou gold mine is situated the south side of Hezuo-Minxian Fault zone which is the south limb of Xinbao-Lishishan anticlinorium. It is a large scale gold deposit discovered in the west section west Qinling in recent years. Among the various type of wallrock alteration, the most important types are these two: planar hydrothermal alteration occurred during regional metamorphic period, and linear hydrothermal alteration caused by structural heat activities. Silicification, pytization, arsenpyritization and animonitization of linear alteration were close to gold mineralization.
