The Leijiahe biostratigraphic section synthesized from 93001, 93002 and 72074(4) sections, Lingtai County, Gansu Province represents the geologic time period of Late Miocene-Early Pleistocene, and a comprehensive palaeotological and biostratigraphic study at these localities has provided very solid stratigraphic and faunal evidence for the Late Cenozoic biostratigraphy and biochronology of China.
