摘要
The Xiabandi Reservoir is located at the hinterland of Pamirs,which possesses the characteristics of high altitude,high earthquake intensity and frequent activities of ancient and new glaciers. The thickness of the river bed cover is 150 m, among them there is sand layer in dam foundation with poor mechanical properties.The seismic intensity of project area is 8.5, so it is very difficult to evaluate liquefaction possibility and take measures for the sand layer. In this paper, the sand layer liquefaction in dam foundation of the Xiabandi Reservoir had been taken as an example, investigation and dynamic characteristics of the sand layer have been summarized.
