With the rapid development of economy and the continuous development of modern heavy industry, pollutants containing heavy metals can enter the soil through various ways, which makes the content of heavy metals in the soil exceed the standard and causes soil pollution. On the one hand, soil pollution seriously affects the yield and quality of agricultural products. On the other hand, heavy metals in soil affect the quality of the atmosphere and water environment through cycling, thus endangering the lives and health of animals and human beings. Smelters are one of the important reasons for the heavy metals in soil. The problem of heavy metal contamination in the surrounding soil caused by smelter operation has also attracted more and more attention. Therefore, the content of heavy metals in the surface soil around the smelter was determined by microwave digestion and atomic absorption spectrometry. It is hoped that this paper can provide some references for controlling soil pollution.
