图像边缘检测及柔性形态学在其中的应用

摘要
图像边缘检测技术是图像分割、图像增强、图像复原、模式识别、图像压缩等图像分析和处理的基础,也是图像处理领域的研究热点问题。
     数学形态学是建立在集合论的基础上,用于图像处理和模式识别领域的新的方法,它是用一定形态的结构元素去度量和提取图像中的对应形状以达到对图像分析和识别的目的。而柔性形态学是数学形态学发展的一个重要分支。它具有较强的抗噪声、抗干扰能力和鲁棒性。本文首先对传统和新兴的边缘检测理论和方法加以介绍,对不同算法进行了仿真,然后系统地介绍了数学形态学和柔性形态学的基本理论。本文基于柔性形态学做了以下研究。
     将粒子群优化算法引入到柔性形态学边缘检测中,针对单一尺度的结构元素,寻求最优的柔性形态学边缘检测算子,经实验证明该方法简单适用,效果理想。但当原图像中所含噪声较严重时,单一元素的柔性形态学边缘检测算法抗噪性比多尺度结构元素的要差,所以针对多尺度结构元素的柔性形态学算子在图像边缘检测中的应用进行了研究。经过大量的实验证明,本文所提算法在含有大量噪声的干扰下,比传统的方法能更好的抑制噪声并提取有用的图像边缘信息。
     最后,本文对柔性形态学边缘检测算法在实际中的广泛应用进行了总结。
Edge detection is the foundation of feature description, image segmentation, image enhancement, pattern recognition and image compression and so on. Also edge detection is a hot topic in digital image processing.
     Mathematical morphology founded on set theory is applied in the field of image processing and pattern recognition. Its main principle is to use a certain structuring element to measure and extract the conesponding form in an image so that the image can be analyzed and recognized. Soft morphology is an important subclass of development of mathematical morphology. This makes more tolerant and robust to noise. In this paper, the traditional theory and new method are introduced at first, then many different algorithms are simulated.Then the basic theories of morphology and soft morphological are introduced systemically. Some researches are made based on the soft morphology theories as the follows.
     This paper applies the PSO to the soft morphology to select soft morphology of the best image edge detection method aimed at a single size structure element. The method is approved to be simple, suitable and effective. But when a large number of noises are included in an original image, the restraining noises capability of soft morphology with single structure element is worse than that with multi-scale structure elements. So the applications of soft mathematical morphology with multi-scale structure elements are researched in the image edge detection. It was proved by large numbers of experiments that the algorithm proposed by the paper is better to restrain noises and extract useful image edge information than traditional methods under the interrupt of a great many of noises.
     Finally, the extensive applications of soft morphology in practice are summarized.
