用于光纤传输的视频压缩的硬件实现

摘要
随着光纤传输的普及和多媒体技术的不断发展,利用光纤实时传输压缩的数字视频信号已经成为远程监控领域一个重要的研究方向。同时,媒体处理器在多媒体技术设计中功能强大,使用方便,可以适应压缩数字视频光纤传输的需要。本文采用一种新的结构的数字光纤传输系统,并且完成了基于多媒体DSP芯片的视频压缩编解码的硬件设计,在光纤中实现了压缩数字视频信号的传输。
     TMS320DM642是美国德州仪器(TI)公司推出的最新的一款媒体处理器,它集成了C64x的DSP内核、音视频外设接口以及网络通信I/0模块,为多媒体产品应用提供了理想的解决方案。当工作在720MHz频率的主频下,运算能力达到了5760MIPS,同时满足多种视频标准的编解码任务,可以满足本系统设计要求。具体来讲,本文主要完成了如下工作:
     1)根据数字视频传输的特点,设计了数字视频光纤传输系统的总体方案,采用副载波复用技术实现分布式多路压缩视频信号的光纤传输。
     2)根据系统总体方案,设计了基于多媒体处理芯片TMS320DM642实现的视频信号MPEG-2编解码。并且根据实验方案,进行了DSP系统总体设计以及外围接口设计、参数的确定以及相关器件的选择。根据DSP系统硬件各个电路的设计原理,探讨了高速PCB设计意义和注意事项,对本系统硬件电路PCB进行了细致的设计实现。
     3)在完成系统硬件设计后,利用CCS平台对系统PCB进行软件测试,测试硬件设计是否实现了视频信号的MPEG-2压缩编解码并基本满足了课题的需求。
With the popularization of fiber transmitting technology and the development of multimedia technology, the real-time transmitting of digital encoding video signals with fiber has become an important research field of Long Distance Video Supervisory System. In addition, media processor, which is very powerful and convenient to use in multimedia applications,can satisfied the need of encoding digital video optical fiber transmitting technology. In the paper, a new digital video optical fiber transmission system is adopted here and the hardware implementation is designed for the DSP system to realize the encoding of video which is going to be transmitted in fiber.
     TMS320DM642 is a new media processor provided by Texas Instrument Company. Integrated with C64x DSP core, audio and video peripheral interface and network module, it offers ideal solutions for high performance multimedia applications. When working at a clock rate of 720MHz, DM642 can execute 5760 Milionis instructions per second.DM642 can be used to realize compression or decompression algorithm for many video standards.
     The methods and experiments in the paper are mainly as follows:
     1. According to the character of digital video transmission, firstly a digital video optical fiber system is designed in the paper. The system adopts SCM multiplexing technique to transmit distributed access video signals in optical fiber.
     2. In the paper, we can realize the MPEG2 encoder and decoder of video based on media processor TMS320DM642.And then the hardware platform is designed as well as the choice of chips and parameters. According to the hardware design of each part of the whole platform, this paper discusses about the importance of High Speed PCB design and the details provide a reasoned PCB design to the platform.
     3. After the design of hardware platform, the code developing environment CCS is used to test whether the platform realize the function of MPEG2 decoder an encoder of video and satisfy the meet of the task.
