LTE-M和NB-IoT在野外地区的通信覆盖度和容量分析

摘要
为了支持移动物联网的发展需求,3GPP工作组对LTE进行了修改升级,并引入了LTE-M和NB-IoT用户设备类目,发布了第13个版本。本文的主要工作是研究在配备最新标准技术的通信网络中的覆盖概率,支持的设备数,设备的电池寿命等指标。本文是基于研究电信运营商部署的通信网络站点,并且用驱动测试来校准网络仿真。研究结果显示,对于户外场景的用户设备,LTE-M能提供99.99%的覆盖率。然而,对于深度室内用户来说,NB-IoT表现更优,它能为用户提供将近95%的覆盖率,而成本只要原来的1/10。因此,LTE-M和NBIoT都为移动物联网的发展提供了支持。
