《逃离》中女性主义意识的觉醒与幻灭

摘要
加拿大女作家艾丽丝·门罗以短篇小说著称,被誉为"加拿大的契诃夫"。作为她的代表性小说之一,《逃离》由八个短篇小说组成,每个故事都围绕"逃离"这个主题而展开。第一篇同名小说《逃离》女主人公卡拉在第一次成功逃离家庭,并与男友克拉克居住后,内心彷徨困苦,想要改变现状。因而在邻居贾米森太太的帮助下试图进行第二次逃离,可是,女主人公在思想和经济上的不独立使她最后又不得不回到克拉克的身边,继续原来的生活。本文试图从女性主义的角度结合文本具体分析第一篇同名小说《逃离》中卡拉女性主义意识的建构、消解与幻灭。最后从思想独立与经济独立两方面探析卡拉以逃离失败为结局的原因。
The Canadian female writer Alice Munro is famous for her short stories and regarded as "Canadian Chekhov". Runaway, as one of her representative works, is made up of eight short stories and every story is developing around the same theme--"Runningaway". Carla,the heroine of the first title story--Runaway, is living in a suffocated marriage life and wants to escape from her present situation right after her successful running away from her parental family.Therefore, with the help of her neighbor--Mrs. Jamison, Carla has tried the second escape but failed and finally comes back to her original life. This thesis attempts to analyse the title story—"Runaway" from the perspective of feminism to illustrate Carla's awakening female consciousness. And reasons of failure for running away will be explored at the basis of independence of thought and economy.
