摘要
利用简单的一步水热方法成功地合成三种不同晶面结构的Co_3O_4纳米材料,分别是暴露{112}晶面的纳米片、{011}晶面的纳米带和{001}晶面的纳米立方体。利用各种表征技术手段对Co_3O_4纳米材料的结构和形貌进行表征。除此之外,气敏性能测试表明Co_3O_4纳米片具有增强的气敏性能。Co_3O_4纳米片的增强气敏性能主要由于Co_3O_4纳米片暴露的{221}高能晶面具有更多的非饱和悬空键,因此具有更高的化学活性。这些结果有效地阐明了通过调控纳米材料暴露的晶面提高材料的物理、化学性能的研究的重要性。
Co_3O_4 with three different crystal plane structures-nanosheets bounded by {112}planes, nanobelts enclosed by {011}, and nanocubes with exposed {001}planes-is synthesized using a very simple one-step hydrothermal method.Various techniques were employed for characterization of the structure and morphology of the as-prepared specimens. Furthermore, our experiments demonstrated that the Co_3O_4 nanosheets with exposed high-energy facets {221} exhibited enhanced gas-sensing properties due to their high chemical activity, which results from unsaturated coordination of surface atoms, superior to that of low-energy facets. These results effectively demonstrate the significance of research into improving the physical and chemical properties of materials by tailoring exposed facets of nanomaterials.
