摘要
美国南方作家威廉·福克纳的文学想象与艺术构思的诸多层面,都折射出其创作的基督教趋向:基督教内在精神的渗透及圣经文学元素的创造性运用,从而表现出诗意语境下的神性内涵。在基督教文化的语境下,福克纳的文学创作借助于圣经叙事传统,通过独特的文学表现手法,在他的神话诗学中充分展现出文学"诗意"与宗教"神性"的对峙与交融,透显出文学想象的终极关怀神韵。
William Faulkner,a great American writer,displayed in many facets of his literary creation a Christian tendency in his artistic works.The minute penetration of Christian culture and the creative employment of the Biblical literary elements supplied his writings with a divine content in a poetic context.With the aid of Biblical narrative tradition and unique literary presentation,Faulkner produced an atmosphere in which poetics and divinity confronted and mingled in a harmonious manner to reflect ultimate concern in literary imagination.
