《唐故容管经略招讨处置等使李行素墓志》跋

摘要
唐李行素墓志史料价值极高,志主李行素,大约生活在晚唐宣宗、懿宗朝,两"唐书"无立其传,有事迹见于《资治通鉴》懿宗咸通五年,时任唐邕州节度副使。志文对于唐朝镇压浙东海贼裘甫事、咸通年间唐军与南诏和南蛮的战争等史事皆有印证或补正史书的作用。尤其志文所提咸通八年(867)志主出使西凉,"和断"嗢末羌与张议潮,说服势力逐渐做大的归义军节度使张议潮奉笏入朝等事,对于弥补正史及敦煌文献之不足,理清归义军相关史事,以及认识嗢末的族属和晚唐凉州的政局均具有重要意义。
Li Xing-su's epigraph is of great historical value. Li Xing-su lived in the periods of Emperor Tang Xuan Zong and Emperor Tang Yi Zong of the late Tang Dynasty. It was a pity that there wasn't much record about him,yet his story could be found in Zi Zhi Tong Jian( History as a Mirror). In the 5~(th) year of Xiantong Period,he served as a deputy military governor of Yongzhou Prefecture. The epigraph is helpful in verifying,supplementing and correcting historical records such as Qiu Fu's sea robbery in the east of Zhejiang province,and the war conflicts between Tang troops and the aboriginal tribesmen in the south in Xiantong Period. In the 8~(th) year of Xiantong Period,Li Xing-su was sent to Xi Liang,coordinated with Wamoqiang and Zhang Yichao,and even persuaded Zhang Yi-chao,a military governor of the rising Gui-Yi-Jun,to see the emperor in response to the imperial order. Li Xing-su's above-mentioned deeds are of great significance in amending and supplementing history books and Dunhuang manuscripts,clarifying the relevant historical events about Gui-YiJun,and gaining a deep insight into Wamoqiang's ethnic origin and the political situation in Liangzhou prefecture in the late Tang Dynasty.
