李善兰的数学译著及对清末教育的影响

摘要
李善兰开创性地翻译了西方经典数学著作,将近代西方数学系统地引入我国,是近代西方数学理论研究的第一人。此外,他对中国古代传统数学也有着深入的研究。李善兰是中国传统数学的继承者和西方近代数学研究的先行者,在科学传播和科学教育方面作出了历史性贡献。
Li Shanlan pioneered the translation of Western classical mathematics and systematically introduced modern Western mathematics to China for the first time. As the first person to introduce and study modern Western mathematics theory,he not only translated Western mathematics works,but also studied ancient Chinese traditional mathematics in-depth. In that sense,Li Shanlan was both successor of traditional Chinese mathematics and pioneer in Western modern mathematics research,and made historical contributions to the dissemination and education of science.
