Geochronological, geochemical and Sr-Nd-Hf isotopic constraints on the origin of the Late Mesozoic Intraplate magmatism in the Duofutun Area, West Qinling: Implications for asthenosphere-lithosphere interaction
摘要
Early Cretaceous volcanism was confirmed in the Duofuntun Area,West Qinling. It has been dated at 105.83 ± 0.91 Ma (U-Pb Zircon) and 103 ± 2 Ma (whole rock matrix laser 40Ar/39Ar).The Duofuntun Volcanic Rocks (DVRs) are characterised by alkali basaltic and andesitic series.Mineral chemistry, major and trace element bulk-rock compositions suggest the DVRs underwent variable fractionation of olivine,clinopyroxene,plagioclase,Fe-Ti oxides,Cr-rich spinel and apatite.Chondrite-normalised rare earth element and primitive mantle-normalised trace element patterns of the DVRs remarkably resemble those of oceanic island basalts.
