Borderline and malignant ovarian tumors of epithelial origin are exceedingly rare among prepubertal girls and adolescents. In this age group, the most common malignant epithelial tumor is low-grade mucinous carcinoma. Overall survival is excellent for tumors confined to the ovary. Establishment of an international tumor registry will facilitate future management of these cases.
