High levels of Sb and As were detected in alkaline water at Xikuangshan mine. Static test showed that mine waste aged over 10 years was acid generating. Mine waste influenced the high concentration of Sb and As in water. The Sb/As ratios in water favored Sb because of high Sb content in the ore body.
