Four novel ACE inhibition peptides identified in palm kernel glutlein-2 hydrolysate. The peptides showed non-competitive ACE inhibition and relatively good stability. The peptides showed good antihypertensive effect in spontaneous hypertensive rats. The peptides could lower endothelia-1 content without significant cytotoxicity. The peptides could protect vascular endothelial cells from oxidative induced damage.
