Comparative study of degradation of ionic liquid in homogenous and heterogeneous medium. The pH solution has a different effect in basic medium on the HMImCl degradation in both processes. Chloride anions in acidic medium strongly inhibit the HMImCl degradation in both processes. No effect of chloride anion concentrations on the degradation of HMImCl in UV/H2O2 at natural pH.
