文摘
The band gap of CuO nanotubes has been effectively tuned by Fe doping from 2.6 eV to 2.9 eV. By increasing the Fe doping content the diameters of CuO nanotubes is increased and also the density of the nanotubes. The band gap of CuO nanotubes is increased by increasing the doping content of Fe due to Burstein-Moss effect. Fe doping improves the crystallinity of CuO nanotubes and removes the deep trap levels. The removal of deep trap levels is exhibited by steady-state fluorescence measurements. The efficiency (ɳ) of the hybrid bulk-hetero junction solar cells, fabricated by P3HT and CuO nanotubes is slightly decreased by increasing the Fe doping content. This was due to decrease in the mobility of the charge carriers because of non-linear effects of electron-electron scattering in the conduction band.
