A novel combination of imatinib and a carbonic anhydrase was studied. The impact was evaluated in T47D cells and EAC-bearing mice. The interaction suppressed PDGF-A and VEGF while enhanced TSP-1. MMPs and p38 MAPK phosphorylation were suppressed while TIMPs were enhanced. The interaction triggered caspase-9 and -3 activation.
