Major sequence boundaries are tied to the most pronounced glacial stages. Large-scale canyons appear during the Mid-Pleistocene Transition. Fluvial systems are visible on 3D images and connect to canyon heads during the coldest glacial stages (MIS 22, 16 and 12).
