LL and PL are determined on the < 0.425 mm soil fraction. They were often correlated with soil properties of the < 2 mm fraction. We underlined the importance of considering the < 0.425 mm fraction. No clear relationship with soil mineralogy was visible. LL was controlled by clay and organic C, PL by organic C.
