The magnetic and magnetocaloric properties of Ni2Mn1−xCrxIn have been investigated. The materials exhibit ferromagnetic transitions and associated magnetocaloric effects near room temperature. The materials exhibit refrigeration capacities that are superior to those of Heusler alloys with first order phase transition.
