Late Glacial to Holocene vegetation and fire history of eastern Kamchatka Peninsula. The Late Glacial shows close similarities with the northeastern Pacific coast. Climate mostly responsible for shifts in vegetational communities. Kamchatka's volcanoes spread large quantities of tephra over the study region. Tephra falls have not left evidence of major impacts on the vegetation.
