Toxocariasis is an important, but neglected zoonosis with global significance. Differentially transcribed genes between the male and female worms were identified. Enriched biological processes and pathways linked to these genes were defined. Molecules associated with reproduction and development were predicted. No evidence for piwi RNA pathways were found in adult T. canis.
