Effect of GAC size, membrane pore size, permeate flux and operation mode on fouling GAC improved the threshold flux values more for the larger membrane pore size. GAC increased the irreversible fouling resistance in the continuous filtration mode. Threshold flux and fouling layer resistance independent of GAC particle diameter New model with emphasis on mechanical scouring agrees with experiments.
