Optimization of physical properties of spray-deposited Cu2ZnSnS4 thin films for solar cell applications

A substrate temperature of 390 °C optimizes sprayed-CZTS physical properties for solar cell applications. Thermal annealing under S+Sn atmosphere at 580 °C during 30 min improves CZTS crystallinity and sulfur concentration. Cu/(Zn+Sn) and Zn/Sn compositional ratios near to 0.9 and 1.2, respectively, are found for sample deposited at 390 °C. Resistivity, Hall mobility and carrier density values for sprayed-CZTS thin films are reported.
