Electrodialysis with filtration membrane process used to separate BSA as a model protein. The effect of the restriction membranes adjacent to the electrodes considered. Non-charged restriction membranes give the most stable performance. Cation exchange restriction membranes gave the highest recovery of the negatively charged BSA. Anion exchange restriction membranes would be the best for a positively charged protein.
