The effect of testosterone and its dimers on DNA morphology was studied here. Testosterone dimers form stronger conjugates with DNA than testosterone. Hydrophobic contacts are mainly observed in steroid-DNA adducts. Major DNA morphological changes were observed upon testosterone conjugation. Our study elucidates the nature of steroid-DNA interactions.
