Morphologies, pore characteristics and mechanical strength of hollow fiber supports. Polyamide layer morphology, transport properties and performance of the resultant outer-selective thin-film composite membranes. High performance PRO membrane made on the substrate spun from the polymer dope with a low water content. Mathematical models predict ~25% performance increase if external concentration polarization is minimized.
